Foreign surgeons who arrived in Chechnya will operate on 30 children at no charge

Famous cosmetic surgeons from the USA, Germany and Australia who arrived in Chechnya last week will operate on 30 Chechen children who need oral surgery aid. All the high-priced operations will be performed at no charge.

It should be reminded that the patients are being received since September, 19, in the Republican Children's Clinic of Grozny. 

"All in all the leading cosmetic surgeons from Russia, the USA, Germany and Australia who arrived in our republic in the middle of last week will operate on 30 gravely ill children of different age. Children who need treatment of serious burn traumas, "cleft palate", "harelip" and hemangioma will undergo operations", an official of the republican Ministry of Public Health said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. 

According to him, children from poor families having no money on high-priced oral surgery will be operated first. 

Beside residents of Chechnya, the physicians have received patients who arrived from the neighbouring regions, in particular, Ingushetia, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria and Stavropol region. 

Arrival of the foreign specialists to Chechnya was organized by a well-known Chechen surgeon Hasan Baiev. In winter of 2000 he operated on one of the leaders of Chechen gunmen Shamil Basaev who lost his leg as a result of blasting on a mine when leaving Grozny encircled by federal troops. Later on Baiev left for the USA where he is going on medical practice. 

In 2008 Hasan Baiev also organized arrival of foreign specialists in oral surgery in Chechnya who within this charitable action operated on 150 Chechen children needing treatment.
