Eleven blast victims hospitalized in Makhachkala

11 out of 54 people, who were injured in two explosions in the capital of Dagestan, were hospitalized. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by the reception wards of the Republic's Clinical Hospital, the Republic's Association of Emergency Medical Aid and the Republic's Traumatological Hospital.

Let us remind you that the first explosion in Makhachkala occurred last night at about 00:35 Moscow time on the crossing of Yermoshkin and Dakhadaev Streets, several hundred meters from the central square of the city; the second explosion occurred in 15-17 minutes in the same district. According to preliminary information, both explosive devices were put under parked cars or near them. Earlier, it was reported that 60 people were injured and two persons were killed. On the fact of explosions a criminal case was instituted under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("terror act").

"26 people, including 14 policemen, asked for help, they got wounds of various state of gravity. Five persons were hospitalized: 42-year-old Eldar Gadjiev, a guard, 31-year-old Erik Kazikhanov, a policeman, 47-year-old Magomed Isaev, a police Lieutenant Colonel, 27-year-old Magomed Gitinov, a guard, and 22-year-old Muslim Gasanov, a policeman," the Republic's Traumatological Hospital reported.

According to the doctors, Gadjiev and Kazikhanov are at the resuscitation ward; their health condition is grave, but stable. The other injured people are at the general wards; their lives are out of danger. The persons who were allowed to go home received the first medical aid at full volume.

In total, 29 law enforcement agents and 25 civilians were injured in two explosions.

Let us remind you that in the evening on September 21 a car explosion in Makhachkala took three human lives.
