In Sochi, Dagestan to present investment projects worth over 200 billion roubles

Within the International Investment Forum "Sochi-2011", Dagestan will present 70 investment projects to the total sum of over 200 billion roubles. Of them, 29 projects have received the priority status.

Most of the projects refer to agriculture. Here, Dagestan will present 24 projects worth 58 billion roubles, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the Agency of Investments and Foreign Economic Relations of Dagestan.

Among them, two projects of the companies "Dagagrocomplex" and "Sofrakht-Invest" are of special interest.

The "Dagagrocomplex" has developed a 2011-2013 priority program of agricultural development in the republic with introduction of American machinery and technologies. The main component of the project assumes construction of a sugar factory. One of US banks has confirmed 85 percent of the total funding under the guarantee of the Russian Government. The total budget of the project will make about 20 billion roubles.

The company "Sofrakht-Invest" is planning to proceed with the project "Establishment and Development of the Agro-Techno Park 'AgroDagItalia' on the Basis of Italian Agrarian Modules". The project assumes consumption of 14 billion roubles within ten years and creation of a powerful integrated production capacity in growing crops, animal husbandry and food processing, accompanied by wholesale and retail trade, and the respective industrial and social infrastructure.
