Norwegian company to build largest European HPP in Adzharia

The Norwegian company named "Clean Energy Invest" is planning to build the largest hydroelectric power plant (HPP) in Europe by investing 600 million US dollars into the site on the Adzharistskali River.

According to the edition named "Market Leader", it is assumed that the capacity of the HPP will be the highest among similar facilities located in Europe. In case the project is successful, it will be the most ambitious project in the Georgia's energy sector.

Under the studies conducted by the Norwegian engineering-consulting company "Norkonsalt", the power of the new plant will reach 300 MW; and the annual output will make 1.2 billion kWh, the "Business Georgia" reports.
