Electricity switched off again in Georgian section of the Embassy of Switzerland in the Russian Federation

Electricity in the Section of the Interests of Georgia with the Embassy of Switzerland in the Russian Federation was switched off once again because the debts for rent and utility payments were not liquidated. This was reported by Oleg Anikiev, Director General of close corporation “RusInvestProject”, owner of “Business-center Ostozhenka” limited company, where the section is located.

Earlier, the “Caucasian Knot” reported that it had been impossible to receive Georgian visas since August, 4. This was connected with suspension of work of consular service of the Section of the Interests of Georgia with the Embassy of Switzerland in the Russian Federation because of cutting off electricity. Work was recommenced on August, 8.

“I personally switched off electricity in the second floor of the building at 10:40 today”, Anikiev said.

Earlier, Director General of close corporation “RusInvestProject” said he expected representatives of the Georgian section to offer settlement of the issue after switching off electricity however they did not do it. According to Anikiev, a lawsuit of confiscation of illegally received property and money recovery to a sum of 24,32 million rubles was submitted to Moscow Arbitrage, RIA “Novosti” reports.

According to Anikiev, the Section of the Interests of Georgia illegally occupies the premises in the building of “Business-center Ostozhenka”, therefore the consular service was asked to vacate the building within a month’s term, i.e. by August, 15, “Novosti-Georgia” reports.

On August, 12, Givi Shugarov, Head of the Section of the Interests of Georgia with the Embassy of Switzerland in Russia suggested to organize a conference between the ministries of the two countries however Moscow does not see a reason for such a conference.
