Participants of the symposium “Armenian Palette” visited Nagorno-Karabakh

20 artists from Russia, Belarus and Armenia visited Nagorno-Karabakh within the framework of the First International Symposium “Armenian Palette”.

The participants spent four days in Karabakh. During this period they visited different sites of Nagorno-Karabakh: monastery Dadivank, monastery Ganzasar, the town of Shushi where they pained their pictures. “After Karabakh the symposium will be continued in other towns of Armenia and completed in Yerevan”, President of the Union of Artists of Armenia Karen Agamyan said to the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

20 artists from Russia, Belarus and Armenia are participating in the symposium. About 300 works of art are expected to be created during the action. Exhibitions of the participants of “Armenian Palette” will be organized in Yerevan and other cities and towns of Armenia. The organizers of the symposium also wish to arrange exhibitions in Russia and Belarus.

“Karabakh is much spoken about in Armenia but when I came here I discovered something new to myself, something that I had not known from mass media”, Arthur Oskanyan, an artist from Armenia, said.

Artist Peter Tatarenkov from St. Petersburg, in his turn, also remarked that he had not expected to see so many beautiful sites. “Karabakh presented me inspiration, new feelings and impressions. I collected much material and made many sketches. I got to know interesting people here”, Peter Tatarenkov said.
