In Sochi, military unit buys a boat for almost 22 million budget roubles

The military unit No. 55056, deployed in Sochi, purchases for account of the budget "for state needs" a boat of the "luxury" category for the amount of 21,936,628 roubles – with two cabins, grill, DVD, and illuminated beds. Information on the auction is published on the official website for posting information on public procurement.

"The boat must be equipped with two cabins (forward cabin – with a separate toilet and shower, after cabin – with separate toilet-and-bathroom unit), 2 sanitary facilities, a two-zone cook-galley equipped with a refrigerator, a stove and a sink, a separate shower, a toilet, a spacious cabin with a possibility for extra beds. The vessel must have a V-type planning hull with cabins that can accommodate up to eight people," the auction documentation, published on July 19, 2011, on the public procurement website, states.

The order on purchasing the luxury boat for the military unit has been noticed by an author of the 'zakupki-news' blog on the "Livejournal", who also loaded the vessel's photo. "I believe the appearance and interiors leave no doubts that the boat is intended exclusively for patrolling," wrote ironically the author of the record about the public procurement.

The military unit, which has announced the tender, distinguishes itself by non-standard orders not for the first time. Earlier, it organized an auction for the purchase of 396 watches with the FSB logo, including 25 women's quartz watches with red gold case, at the cost of 25 thousand roubles. The same military unit announced a tender to purchase the tablet computers iPad 3G before they appeared officially in our country, the FSB emblems in frames (contract valued 442.5 thousand roubles), the tie clasps (2.1 million roubles), the limousine car "Mercedes Benz" (12.5 million roubles.), two armoured jeeps "Toyota Land Cruiser" (13 million roubles), the newspaper "Izvestia" reports.
