Caucasian Mineral Waters Region welcomes the First Caucasian Singer-Rock Festival

The village of Pervomaisky of the Caucasian Mineral Waters Region welcomes the first Open Caucasian Singer-Rock Festival "We want peace!". The registered list of singers and rock musicians includes not only representatives of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), but also guests from many regions of Russia, the CIS countries and far-abroad countries.

According to Tatiana Sankina, Chair of the festival jury, the participants of the festival arrived from different cities and republics of the NCFD and other regions of the country "to show their creations, meet congenial people, make new friends, and make our lives better, more interesting".

"By our songs we want to show everyone that here, in the Caucasus, we sing and do not shoot," says Tatiana Sankina and continues: "We will sing, communicate with each other, and establish friendly personal contacts. And in this way, we say that we want peace in the Caucasus."

The culmination of the festival will be the cooking of a huge shulyum for 2000 people. Application for the record, organizers filed a Guinness Book of Records, and from there it was "good."

An unexpected surprise waited for the festival participants – the event was attended by Alexander Morozov, the composer, poet and singer, the People's Artist of Russia, Ukraine and Moldova, who would represent Russia at a music festival in Prague in the coming days.

Especially for the festival Alexander Morozov wrote a song dedicated to the Caucasus and sang it before an audience. "The song's content corresponds to the subject of the festival and narrates how important it is today to maintain, preserve peace in the Caucasus. The Caucasus has seen a lot – war, grief, blood, and tears – and it is important to maintain together peace in this region," the singer said.
