On July 22, new rally against tyranny of power agents to be held in Dagestan

On July 22 a new protest rally condemning violence against Muslims is to be held in Dagestan in front of the central mosque of Khasavyurt city. The rally is to be held again under the slogan "Irresponsible power is a threat to the security of citizens and state".

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the human rights activist Rasul Ismailov, one of the initiators of the rally, a resident of Khasavyurt, Co-chair of the human rights organization "Civil Alternative", "Muslims are kidnapped and murdered one by one, violence prevails in Dagestan". "People are scared, the religious leaders are scared, each of us is scared, but if we do not express our protest together, do not say "no" to criminality, tomorrow violence and grief may come to our house," said the human rights activist.

Rasul Ismailov considers that the previous action, held on July 15, had not achieved its goals. "At first there was a strange explosion, as a results, several people were brought to hospital. Then, not more than 200 people came to the rally, and I have reliable information that people, who wished to participate in the action, had faced a direct psychological pressure," he said.

The human rights activist said that on July 22 several thousands of people from entire Dagestan, who suffered from tyranny of law enforcement agencies, would participate at the rally.
