Abkhazia: Shamil Adzinba runs with Sergey Shamba as vice-president

Together with Prime Minister Sergey Shamba, who is running for President of Abkhazia, Shamil Adzinba, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Youth Affairs and Sports of Abkhazia, will run for the post of vice-president. Today, Sergey Shamba, and Shamil Adzinba filed their consent to run for to the Central Election Commission (CEC).

The initiative group for nomination of Sergey Shamba has delivered to the CEC the subscription lists and the minutes of the meeting on the results of signature collection. The CEC, in its turn, has presented the documents to confirm the receipt of documents from the initiative group and candidates for the president and vice president. Now, the applicants will have to pass an exam on the knowledge of the state Abkhazian language.

The presidential election will be held in Abkhazia on August 26.
