Ingush students to take training before going to study in other regions of Russia

Five-day trainings will be organised for the applicants from Ingushetia, who have passed competitive selection for going on purpose assignment to the other regions of the Russian Federation. At these trainings the experts will tell the applicants about the culture of the places where they are going to study.

"Till July 20 we will be selecting children who will go for studying outside the republic. And five-day trainings will be conducted from July 20 till July 25 at the Ministry of Education," said Lemka Izmailova, Minister of Education of Ingushetia.

"All troubles start from the fact that young people who grew up in one setting cannot definitely imagine life in the large mega city, different culture, customs, traditions and way of life," said Minister Izmailova.

Residents of Ingushetia took the government's initiative in different ways. Applicant Magomed Mutaliev believes that such trainings will be very useful. "If I know the culture of another nation, if I am informed, how to behave in a new environment, I quickly found common language with people who live there, with faculty teachers and students," he stressed.

According to Ali Nalgiev, a graduate of Belgorod State University, "everybody knows about youth living in central Russia". "For us, the Ingush, many things are unacceptable, and a young man, who travels to study and not to squander parents' money, needs no special instructions," believes Ali Nalgiev.

Musa Aushev, father of an applicant, said that these trainings do not make sense. "If in 18 years the parents failed to explain to their child how he should behave, Evkurov or mufti would not succeed in doing it in a week. Moreover, as practice shows, the purpose assignments will go to the children from wealthy families, no matter what knowledge and behaviour they have. It is absolutely senseless idea, although the intentions are good."

According to Magomed Mutsolgov, the head of the human rights organisation "MASHR", "everybody knows how to behave, knows the rules of decorum; however, getting to another region, very often one begins to copy the crowd's behaviour."
