Case on Sviridov's murder to be considered by jurymen

In the Moscow City Court Judge Andrei Rasnovsky announced the decision on the criminal case on the football fan Yegor Sviridov's murder. The petition from the defence on consideration of the case involving the jury was satisfied. The defendants remained under arrest, reports the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent from the scene.

The jury selection is scheduled for August 3. The petition to change for the defendants the pre-trial restriction to the non-custodial one was rejected, because the crimes imputed to the defendants belong to the category of grave and very grave crimes.

At the request of the state prosecution, which was granted by the court, the detention period for the defendants had been extended for 6 months, till December 22. Immediately after the announcement of the court decision the defendants' lawyers said that, after discussions with their clients, they intend to appeal against the court decision on pre-trial restrictions.
