South Ossetia: two detained Georgian citizens passed over to Georgia

Anzor Parkadze and Alexander Ninoshvili, citizens of Georgia, detained on June 23 in the Leningor District of South Ossetia, Georgia, were passed to Georgia, as an act of goodwill from the South Ossetian authorities, the KGB of the republic informed.

The press service of the KGB of South Ossetia state that Anzor Parkadze and Alexander Ninoshvili were detained at the Georgian request and that, according to Georgian policemen, these persons had committed serious crimes in Georgia and fled to the territory of South Ossetia. The Ministry of Interior Affairs of Georgia denied the fact of such appeal to the authorities of South Ossetia.

Citizens of Georgia were explained that they had violated the state border of South Ossetia, told Robert Gazaev, the deputy head of the Border Guard Service of the KGB of South Ossetia.

According to the UVD (Department of Interior) of the Leningor District, at the border trespassers' detention the policemen confiscated a sawn-off hunting rifle, a ball grenade and a folding knife.
