Citizen of Sukhum abducted, then set free

The 25-year-old citizen of Sukhum, Tamaz Gogokhia, who was taken hostage by a Georgian gang on December 12, has been released. To remind, the car in which he was in along with Ruslan Djindjolia and Tamaz Nanava was attacked near the village of Gumurish, the Tkuarchal district. Ruslan Djindjolia was killed at the scene, Gogokhia and Nanava were abducted. Later the criminals released Nanava, who is Georgian by nationality, while crossing the Georgian-Abkhazian border along the Ingur River. Law-enforcement agencies are establishing people involved in the abduction of Tamaz Gogokhia and murder of Ruslan Djindjolia.

  • SC demands from KBSU documents on legality of Khokonov's dismissal

    The Supreme Court (SC) of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) has begun considering the lawsuit lodged by Murat Khokonov, Professor of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University (KBSU), concerning his illegal dismissal. The SC has demanded from KBSU bosses the documents confirming the legality of professor's dismissal.
