Resident of Dagestan reports illegal detention and torture of his relatives

Residents of the village of Pervokizlyarskoe, Kizlyar District of Dagestan, Saadula Magomedov and Abdurakhman Abusupyanov have been illegally detained and tortured by law enforcers. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed about it by Rizvan Abusupyanov, their cousin.

"Saadula was detained without explanations 15 days ago. We know that he was tortured; now he is kept by the Dagestani MIA Interior Ministry, but no one is admitted to see him; his advocate has appealed to all instances; so far there's no reaction," said Rizvan Abusupyanov, a resident of the Shamkhal township, located in the Kirov District of Makhachkala.

It follows from his words that his second cousin was detained in the village of Kidero, Tsuntin District, on June 2. "He went to the mountains on his own business and was detained by power agents, who had planted a submachine gun into his car. He was also tortured and kept in the MIA; nobody is admitted to him," said Rizvan.

The press service of the Dagestani MIA said that they know nothing about the incident.
