Lieutenant-Colonel Abdurashid Bibulatov, head of the RUVD (District Police Department) of the Kaitag District, into whose yard a grenade was thrown at night on May 8 a grenade was thrown, did not exclude that local officials, whom be had accused of abuse, could back the attack.

According to Bibulatov, on May 7, he came home from work around midnight, went to bed and woke up from the sound of explosion. "Experts came and said that a grenade was thrown into the yard. It blew up near the window, where my bedroom was before; now it's my son's room. He was not hurt. A criminal case was opened; so far, it is studying the fact of hooliganism," said the colonel.
