Norway bills Maria Ameli for her deportation

Maria Ameli, a native of North Ossetia and deportee from Norway, shall compensate to Norwegian authorities their expenses on her deportation to Russia. Only after that, she will be able to come to work to Norway.

"I can confirm that Salamova owes money to the state," said Monica Torud, the spokesperson of the Norwegian Police on foreigners' matters.

The sum has not been announced yet, but the deportation costs include payment for the work of the policemen who accompany the deported illegal immigrants.

"Theoretically, Salamova may be stopped at the border, should she fail to pay the debt by the moment of her entry to Norway," the "Russisk Portal" quotes Andreas Lorange, Adviser of the Ministry of Justice.

In their turn, two members of the Parliament of Iceland offered the authorities of their country to provide Icelandic citizenship to the Russian woman Maria Ameli, deported from Norway. The Icelandic MPs believe that Norway, having deported her to Russia, made an inhuman act. If Maria Ameli receives the Icelandic citizenship, she will be able to freely enter the territory of Norway, the "Euromag" writes.
