A mass scuffle occurred in Dagestan, one person killed

A mass scuffle with the use of firearms took place on April, 13, in the settlement of Jimikent, Derbent district of Dagestan. One person was killed, three more got wounded.

"At about 19:00 a verbal skirmish broke out in the neighbourhood of the settlement of Jimikent between two groupings of local residents one of which was dissatisfied with a judgment brought in by a judge in the town of Derbent", officials of the Department of Interior Affairs reported. 

The conflict developed into a scuffle with the use of firearms and traumatic arms, as a result one of the participants of the scuffle was killed and three others got wounded. The details of the conflict are currently being established by the police, "Interfax" reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April, 11, the policemen suppressed an attempt of a mass scuffle with participation of over 400 people in Levashinsky district of Dagestan. 

It should be mentioned that mass scuffles are not rare in Dagestan. For instance, a mass scuffle occurred on March, 26, in Karabudakhkent district. About 70 local residents took part in it, firearms were used and one person perished as a result. According to residents of Makhachkala, at night of March, 10, Akushinsky avenue in the capital of the republic was blocked by cars with armed policemen and a crowd of about 300 people. There was firing during the scuffle and two participants of the incident got gunshot wounding.
