Bodies of two more persons killed in special operation in Ingushetia found

The count of the casualties of the major special operation conducted on March 28 in the Sunzha District of Ingushetia has gone up to 21, said a source from law enforcement bodies.

On March 28, in the Sunzha District of Ingushetia, a special operation was undertaken against those persons who had been declared as militants. As a result of a point-wise air strike of Russian Air Forces and a surface operation, a militants' base, located near the village of Verkhniy Alkun, was destroyed. Yuri Turygin, Public Prosecutor of Ingushetia, said that more than 30 militants could be at the base at that moment; 19 of them were liquidated.

"The location of the former militants' camp is still examined. Yesterday we discovered remains of two more bodies," - said a source from law enforcement bodies. Thus, according to his version, the total number of casualties has reached 21 persons, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

It is not excluded that Dokku Umarov, militants' leader, could be among those liquidated during the special operation, this version is not confirmed.
