NAC: militants liquidated today in Ingushetia had been preparing terror act

One of the men shot dead this morning in the Sunzha District of Ingushetia has been identified, according to power agents, as Ibragim Syroev, an active member of the underground. Also, power agents have reported that the casualties had bomb-triggering devices on them.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has reported that today two suspected militants were liquidated in the vicinity of the village of Verkhni Alkun.

According to Nikolai Sintsov, spokesman of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), these persons were on the way to the militants' base destroyed during the special operation on March 28; they had bomb-triggering devices on them. "This allows supposing that the neutralization of the bandits made it possible to prevent a pre-planned terror act," said the spokesman.

Two PM (Makarov) pistols, eight charged magazines and five "Khattabka" grenades and a factory-made stretcher were found on the casualties.

One of them has been identified as Ibragim Syroev, born in 1987, a criminal searched on suspicion of involvement in links with militants, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
