Tent appears in Freedom Square of Yerevan for hunger-striking Raffi Ovannisyan

Today in Yerevan, at the initiative of a number of public organizations, a tent was set up for Raffi Ovannisyan, Chairman of the "Heritage" Party, who continues his hunger strike. The policemen who stood nearby did not interfere.

"I don't need this tent. It was the initiative of some NGOs, who thus expressed their compassion and keenness to me. However, these passions should have been demonstrated by the authorities in the first place. Their initial ban to set up the tent was a demonstration of the true image of the authorities," Raffi Ovannisyan told the reporters.

Under the sound of the national anthems of the Republic of Armenia, NGO activists installed the tent for the politician.

The Police Lieutenant Colonel Agasi Kirakosyan told the reporters: "We did everything Raffi Ovannisyan wanted."
