Makhachkala hosts World Cup in Freestyle Wrestling

Today, the World Cup in Freestyle Wrestling has started in the capital of Dagestan. The strongest teams of the world have come to take part in the tournament for the prize money amounting to 240,000 US dollars.

Dagestan is for the first time receiving a sporting event of this high level: the national teams of Russia, Azerbaijan, Cuba, Iran, Georgia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and the united team of Hungary and Kazakhstan came to Makhachkala to compete for the Cup, the RIA "Dagestan" reports.
