CPJ calls on Armenian authorities to allow entry of international film team

The International Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has expressed concern about expulsion from Armenia of four journalists, representing the Finnish public TV Company YLE and called on the authorities of the country to permit entry of the members of the international group of journalists.

On March 15, the CPJ issued a statement noting that at the Airport "Zvartnots" of Yerevan the Migration Service of Armenia refused, without any explanation, to grant visas to the international filming group.

"At least, these journalists deserve to receive explanation as to why they had been denied their entry to Armenia. We urge the authorities to allow entry of YLE journalists to Armenia and give them the right to the freedom of action," says the statement of the CPJ.
