FSB refutes data about victims in attack on FSB sanatorium in Kabardino-Balkaria

As stated by the spokesman of the Russian FSB, the information about ten victims of shelling of the FSB sanatorium in Nalchik is not true.

It had been reported earlier that as a result of shelling of the FSB sanatorium in Nalchik, some 10-12 persons were injured.

"There's no data about any victims in the territory of the sanatorium," said the spokesman.

It was also reported that a bomb was triggered at the FSB hotel in Nalchik. At the same time, several PPS (Patrol and Post Service) of Kabardino-Balkaria were subjected to armed attacks. One militiaman was wounded.

The spokesman of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has also confirmed that there were no casualties or victims after the explosion in front of the FSB building.

"An unidentified explosive device blew up in the territory of Sanatorium 'Leningrad', belonging to the FSB. Nobody was hurt and no buildings were damaged," the "Interfax" quotes Nikolai Sintsov, the NAC's spokesman.

The RIA "Novosti" adds with reference to its source from law enforcement bodies that, according to preliminary data, Nalchik was attacked by three groups of militants.
