Worker dies in mine near Gukovo, Rostov Region

As reported by bosses of the mine "Zamchalovskaya", located in settlement Almazny near the city of Gukovo, Rostov Region, a miner has perished at work. The local prosecutor's office is supervising the check of the fact of death.

The tragedy occurred in the morning on February 6 during works to strengthen the mine roadway.

At present, the body of the miner was lifted to the surface; the mine is inspected by a commission of "Rostechnadzor" (Russian Federal Agency for Industrial Supervision) and law enforcement bodies with the aim to establish the circumstances of the incident, the "Interfax-South" Agency reports.

According to the press service of the regional prosecution's office, they take the procedural checks on the fact of the accident under their supervision. It is already established that in the mine "Zamchalovskaya" of the OJSC "Zamchalovsky Anthracite" rock collapsed when fixing the roadway. As a result, the mine handyman received bodily injuries, from which he died in place, the "Rosbalt" reports.
