Package that blew up in hands of Makhachkala official, should have contained money

The today's explosion in Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan, which killed Magomed Izudinov, deputy head of the architecture department of the Sovietskiy District of the city, happened, when the officer took a package intended for him, which, as he was told, contained the money. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told about it by Mairbek Agaev, editor of the information and policy section of the Dagestani newspaper "Chernovik" (Blueprint).

Let us remind you that the explosion occurred at 9:57 a.m. in front of the building of the administration of the Sovietskiy District in General Tankaev Street. It was earlier reported that, according to one source, the explosive device was installed on the roof of the car of the official, who is responsible for demolition of buildings, according to the other - a self-made bomb was given to Izudinov by an unknown man, who was also killed by the explosion.

"We arrived at the place of the explosion literally in 25 minutes after it. According to a source from law enforcement bodies, Izudinov was a very ambitious and tough person, of high temper, as we say, and he mainly dealt with demolition of illegal, once sold with violations, constructions in the Sovietskiy District of Makhachkala," said Mairbek Agaev.

According to his story, some four days ago, Izudinov had a conflict with one of the owners of the illegally built structure. "Allegedly, they had agreed about a certain large sum (I don't know the exact figure). This morning he received a call, when he was in his office, saying that the money was brought, and the package with it was put on the roof of his Mercedes. He went out, took the package, put it in his bosom, and at that moment an explosion was triggered," said Mairbek Agaev.

Earlier, Nadira Isaeva, editor-in-chief of the "Chernovik", said that everything that concerns the city administration in the spheres of architecture, urban planning and architectural supervision, including demolition, are "the most corrupt and criminal areas both in the capital of Makhachkala, and in general in the Republic of Dagestan."
