Sergey Gaplikov appointed to head "Olympstroy"

Instead of Taimuraz Bolloev, Sergey Gaplikov, deputy head of the government's office, has been appointed the head of the State Corporation on Construction of Olympic Venues and Development of Sochi.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Taimuraz Bolloev, 58, applied for resignation, referring to his health condition.

The Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has signed the respective order and dismissed Bolloev from the post of the President of the State Corporation "Olympstroy", while appointing Mr Gaplikov instead. The latter was dismissed from the position of deputy head of the government's machinery, where he was in charge of financial and economic issues, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

Sergey Gaplikov is already the fourth head of the "Olympstroy", founded in autumn of 2007. This State Corporation is engaged in building Olympic facilities in Sochi and Krasnaya Polyana.
