A kidnapped resident of Ingushetia Hamkhoev refuses hospitalization

In spite of traumas and fractures Adam Hamkhoev, resident of Ingushetia who returned home after he was kidnapped, refuses treatment in hospital. Hamkhoev is at home now because he does not rule out a new kidnapping.

"I have not quite got over yet. I feel very bad. My coccyx is fractured, there are multiple haematomas on the body and I have pain in my kidneys. Nevertheless, I prefer to stay at home. I am afraid to go to hospital for I do not think I will be safe there", Adam Hamkhoev said.

Bekhan Atigov, Secretary of Security Council of Ingushetia, confirmed that he was aware of detention of Adam Hamkhoev and Pliev brothers.

"All the three men were detained by the personnel of law enforcement bodies but both Plievs were then released and Hamkhoev was not let go for carrying out investigative actions because his brother was a participant of paramilitary groups", Atigov says.

Atigov refused to explain the personnel of which unit exactly had detained the three residents of Orjonikidzevskaya.

"As for beating up, he had to ask for an examination in hospital as soon as he was released but he did it only the next day. These are all insinuations. There was a great noise about the Plievs who were allegedly beaten up, too. I asked their parents to come together with them to my office but they refused", Secretary of Security Council of Ingushetia said.

Our interlocutor told a reporter of "Caucasian Knot" that if medical examination confirmed the fact of beating Hamkhoev up and injuring him by the personnel of enforcement agencies he would get down to investigation of the case.

"He could have been beaten up at home. Nevertheless, if the rights of the detained have been violated there will be an inspection", Bekhan Atigov emphasized.

According to the data of "MASHR" human rights organization, 15 residents of Ingushetia disappeared only in autumn of 2010.
