Skirmish burst out in the capital of Dagestan

One person was wounded during a shootout of unidentified persons with the militia in central Makhachkala; two persons were detained, a source from city's law enforcement bodies said.

"The incident burst out at a trolleybus circular ring in Makhachkala. Militiamen tried to stop a VAZ-21014 car for a check, but fire was opened from inside. Power agents opened fire in response. According to preliminary reports, one person was wounded, and two more - detained," said the source.

The skirmish occurred at about 4:30 at the intersection of Imam Shamil and Akushinskiy Avenues. The RIA "Dagestan" writes that the place of the incident is now examined by an operative-investigatory group.
