Three persons injured during a mass scuffle in Dagestan

A mass scuffle took place on December, 12, in the town of Izberbash, Dagestan. Two militiamen and a participant of the scuffle got injured as a result, a source in law enforcement bodies of the republic reported.

The incident happened in the evening, near house No 27, Kirov street of Izberbash. About 50 local residents and villagers of Karabudakhkent took part in the scuffle.

The militia officers who were off duty passing by tried to disjoint the fighting people. During the scuffle someone attempted to take away a Government-issue pistol and certificate of employment from the militiamen.

"At the moment of the attempt of taking the arms away someone fired. A local resident got injured. Both militia officers and the resident of Izberbash were taken to hospital, RIA "Novosti" quotes the report of a source.

No other details of the incident are yet known.
