Director of a children's home denies that her inmates were punished by hospitalization to a psychiatric hospital

Director of the state educational institution "Children's Home of Volgograd" where facts of compulsory psychiatric treatment of inmates were discovered has been suspended from office, Press Service of Volgograd regional administration reports. Alevtina Krapivina herself denies all the accusations saying that the inmates have slandered her.

The decision of dismissal of the Director of "Children's Home of Volgograd" Alevtina Krapivina was taken according to the direction of Anatoly Brovko, Head of Volgograd regional Administration. The Governor has also ordered to carry out an inspection of all the educational institutions for orphan children and the children who have remained without parents' care, "Interfax" reports.

"The children with one voice told they were regularly taken to psychiatric and drug abuse clinics and even in the boarding school they were given injections after which they did not feel well. It is no secret that this contingent of children could tell lies about their educators. Therefore we have carried out an inspection and this ordinary and simple inspection only has confirmed these outrageous facts by expert documentation", Alexander Rusyaev, Deputy Prosecutor of Volgograd district said.

Maxim Frolov, clinical pharmacologist from Public Health Committee of Volgograd district administration, says that the investigation should establish how adequate the treatment has been and how necessary one or another method was, Vesti.Ru reports.

Director of the children's home Alevtina Krapivina, in her turn, denies all the accusations. "I am surprised with such messages. We are tutors, not physicians, therefore we have given medicines to the children only on the doctor's prescription. We have not sent the inmates to the clinics on our own accord: nobody would receive them there. I do not understand where such attacks come from", "Pravda Volgograda" quotes Alevtina Krapivina.

The Director of "Children's Home of Volgograd" supposes that the inmates have slandered her with the help of some "kind adults". Besides, she thinks it is typical of orphan children to play the role of victims, portal V1.ru reports.

It should be mentioned that the administrations of Volgograd regional narcological dispensary and Volgograd regional psychiatric hospital No 5 where the children had been placed as punishment do not comment on the information of Public prosecutor's office.
