A group of persons who had forged certificates of employment of State Security Service and sold them in Northern Caucasus detained in Moscow

A group of people who have manufactured and sold forged certificates of employees of State Security Service in Northern Caucasus has been arrested in Moscow. The certificates had been used for committing grave and especially grave crimes, Center of Public Relations of the Department of State Security Service reported on November, 25.

Officials of State Security Service informed that formerly "during special operative actions a Muscovite who attempted to sell a certificate of employment of State Security Service for a large sum of money had been arrested red-handed and the customer was an employee of security bodies". It has been established that the figurant of the case was an organizer of manufacturing and further sales of forged "high-quality" certificates of officers of State Security Service.

At the same time the rest participators of the group were detained in different districts of the capital who as the investigation found out had organized a stable channel of delivery of forged certificates to the territory of Northern Caucasus and other regions.

During operational investigative actions equipment for manufacturing forged certificates and other real evidence exposing criminal activities of the group were confiscated, RIA "Novosti" reports.

A complex of actions aimed at search of persons using forged certificates is currently in process, ITAR-TASS informs.

It should be mentioned that persons who return forged certificates of their own accord to the reception offices of the Service are exempted from criminal liability.
