Trial on children's death in Eisk Spit reappointed on December 6

Today, the Eisk City Court has postponed the trial on the death of six schoolchildren from the "Azov" Summer Camp in Eisk Spit.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that preliminary hearing on the case was held today. Moscow school teachers Irina Ryabova and Alexei Bagryantsev accused of criminal negligence that has entailed the death of six pupils in Eisk Spit pled guilty and asked to consider the case in special order.

"The petition was not considered yet; the session was reappointed on December 6," the "Interfax" quotes a source from the press service of the court.

Meanwhile, Moscow relatives of perished children addressed the Public Prosecutor of the Krasnodar Territory with a request to hold the litigation in Moscow. In their opinion, the special order adopted by the court for considering this case violates the rights of the suffered party.

"Both the defendants and the complainants live in Moscow; therefore, the case should be dealt with by the Moscow City Court. However, they stubbornly don't want to take it here from Eisk," says Yakov Usherenko, grandfather of 9-year-old Yegor Usherenko, who drowned this summer in Eisk Spit.

Since the Eisk District Court passed a ruling to consider the case in a special order, the punishment will be appointed immediately - without examination of proofs. In this case the court may appoint maximum two thirds of the maximum possible sentence, the "Novaya Gazeta" writes.

"This order is possible only with our consent, but we never gave such. I think that the court breaks our constitutional rights," says Yakov Usherenko.

The defendants themselves also asked to move the litigation to the Moscow City Court.

Today, three complainants - parents of perished Moscow schoolchildren - were present at the preliminary hearing. They supported the special order of considering the case; however, the position of the rest of them remains unclear for the court. In this regard, the court announced a break till December 6, the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" writes.
