Residents of Chechnya state that extermination of ammunition in Stavropol district has an impact upon them

A military range located to Kurs district of Stavropol region where an active process of utilization of ammunition has been going on latterly causes serious problems for the residents of Nadterechny and Naur districts of Chechen Republic. Residents of these districts have already submitted the respective statement to the authorities of the republic. A delegation of the republican Parliament has visited these districts to familiarize with the situation.

"A military range is located in Kurs district of Stavropol region, near the stanitsa of Pochtovaya, where ammunition is being exterminated intensively latterly. This process has a negative impact upon our republic. The residents of Nadterechny and Naur districts bordering on Stavropol region have already appealed to the republican authorities on the subject. Regular powerful explosions not only have a serious psychological effect upon people, mostly women and children, but cause also a physical trespass", a representative of the district administration told a reporter of "Caucasian Knot". 

According to him, the building of local polyclinic in the settlement of Znamenskoye, Nadterechny district, has been seriously damaged because of ground vibration caused by powerful explosions, foundations of many private houses have got damages, too, the walls are being cracked and the window glasses are splitting.

"It is a very serious problem which must be solved anyhow. A delegation of the republican Parliament has arrived here in response to the statement of the residents of our and the neighbouing Naur districts. They talked to people and inspected the damages caused to the buildings. We have been promised that in the nearest future the republican Parliament would contact the headquarters of the 58-th Army and military district", our interlocutor says.

Hamad Musayev, resident of Nadterechny district, remarks that the people have not yet recovered from the war but they are reminded of it practically every day.
