Citizens of Grozny who suffered from freshet have nowhere to live

Thousands of citizens of Grozny who lost their homes as a result of a freshet last year have not gotten new flats so far. While functionaries calculate how much many should be allotted for compensations and restoration of the buildings, the people have to take shelter in ordinary tents even in the cold time of the year.

Altogether over 1,500 houses were destroyed by the freshet in Chechnya. The authorities promised to build houses for all the victims in 9 months. The money was to be allotted from Moscow twice: 760 million rubles for the first time, and 510 - for the second one.

But only the first part of the whole sum - 760 million rubles - has been received from Moscow to date.
