Yerevan delivers captive to Baku in exchange of body of soldier who perished in Azerbaijan

Today, Azerbaijan has handed over the body of Manvel Saribekyan, who committed suicide, to the Armenian party, while Armenia has liberated from captivity Eldar Tagiev, a citizen of Azerbaijan, as reported by the State Commission of Azerbaijan for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Citizens.

According to the Azerbaijani party, on December 28 last year Eldar Tagiev, came under fire in the direction of the village of Alibeili, Tovuz District of Azerbaijan, and then taken hostage. He was handed over to Azerbaijan on the contact line of Armenia and Azerbaijan in the Idzhevan-Gazakh road, with the assistance of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the "Trend" reports.

The ICRC official has presented a certificate stating that within the 10 months in captivity Tagiev's state of health was normal, the "Armenia Today" reports.
