The Appellate Court of Azerbaijan confirmed the verdict to resident of Dagestan Garisov
A trial on the appeal of Usman Garisov, resident of Dagestan who on June, 19, was sentenced by Kusar district court to four years of imprisonment in a general regime colony for accusation of contraband and use of drugs, was accomplished in the Appellate Court of Azerbaijan under the chairmanship of judge Mubariz Zeinalov.
The court has brought a standing judgment against Garisov. The officials of the secretariat produced no comments just saying that the court had estimated the judicial examination carried our by Kusar court as an "objective" one and acknowledged the defendant's guilt proven.
The verdict of the appeals instance has not come into effect yet and within five or six months Garisov will be able to submit a cassation to the Supreme Court.
"If the Supreme Court brings a standing judgment we will ask for Garisov's extradition for serving his penalty in his native republic", an official of Dagestani Representative mission in Azerbaijan said.
