Soldier who wounded his comrade and escaped with firearms sought in Dagestan

In the Karabudakhkent District of Dagestan a soldier wounded another one and fled with firearms after a quarrel with some other soldiers, said today a source from local law enforcement bodies.

The incident happened on October 14 in the military unit of the Interior Troops of Russia's MIA deployed in the city of Kaspiisk.

"Soldiers were guarding, together with militiamen, the railway section, which is often blown up by militants. When at service, a conflict burst out between two soldiers, and one of them heavily wounded his colleague from his machinegun," said the source.

According to his story, after the conflict, the attacker, who wounded his colleague, left him and his duty post and fled nobody knows where. He took his machinegun and four magazines of ammunition with him.

The sergeant of 21, who received a through gunshot wound in his breast, was placed in a hospital in Makhachkala, the RIA "Dagestan" reports.
