Kalmykia starts project on rural family businesses

The innovation project "Opening of 50 rural family businesses", which has acquired the status of the pilot project of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, is implemented in the Pervomaiskiy Rural Municipality Formation of the Republic of Kalmykia.

As reported by Savr Danilov, director of the autonomous institution "Multi-Functional Entrepreneurship Development Centre of the Republic of Kalmykia", in one of the villages of the Priyutnenskiy District of Kalmykia it is planned to create 50 rural family businesses.

"As of today, the Centre has registered 36 villagers willing to try their hands in small businesses, prepared business plans for them and even allocated credits to all who want them," the "Interfax-South" quotes Mr Danilov as saying.

The topic of supporting agriculture in Kalmykia is relevant. In September, the country hosted the first congress of young rural workers. Its participants were cattle breeders, machine operators, tractor drivers, locksmiths and carpenters.
