Dagestan: lawyer Mirzaeva demands to prosecute militiamen who detained her

Lawyer Zinfira Mirzaeva has lodged a repeated application on attracting militiamen to responsibility for the illegal, in her opinion, detention and seizure of her phone, runs the message of the Human Rights Centre "Memorial" that arrived to the "Caucasian Knot".

On October 8, Zinfira Mirzaeva filed an application in Kizilyurt Inter-District Investigatory Division of the Investigatory Department (IDID ID) demanding to bring Ziyavudinov brothers to criminally liable for insulting her, unlawful detention, abuse of office and falsification of evidences. The application was accompanied by Mirzaeva's jacket with traces of torn-off button and a copy of a card call of an ambulance to the Kumtorkalin ROVD (District Interior Division) to help her.

Ms Mirzaeva was examined by doctors, who fixed bodily injuries. Her advocates interviewed the eyewitnesses of the crime; however, the Kizilyurt IDID ID is not in a hurry to start checking her application, said the "Memorial".

According to human rights defenders, up to this day, October 13, Mirzaeva was not questioned, although investigators were to decide on opening the case back on October 11.

Let us note here that one of the figurants in the incident with Zinfira Mirzaeva - Imamdin Ziyavudinov - was elected on October 10 to be the head of the Uchkent village administration of the Kumtorkal District of Dagestan.
