On October 14, witnesses for prosecution and defence to be questioned at Kadyrov vs. Orlov trial

The next session of the Khamovniki Court of Moscow to consider the claim lodged by Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov against Oleg Orlov, head of the HRC "Memorial" will take place on October 14 at 11:00 a.m. The prosecution party will continue presenting its proofs; and evidences of both sides' witnesses will be heard.

According to Mr Orlov, the court has rejected his defence's petitions asking to interrogate neutral witnesses.

As announced at the previous session by Andrei Krasnenkov, representative of the suffered party, Chechen Ombudsman Nurdi Nukhazhiev is expected in the courtroom. He had been announced earlier but failed to come.

"We were ready to present our press secretary and system administrator who had posted the press release on the Internet, which dealt with Kadyrov's responsibility for Estemirova's murder, but the judge said that there was no reason to be in a hurry. In the near future she is not going to question both the defence and neutral witnesses," said Oleg Orlov.

"Mr Krasnenkov filed a motion to hold a re-examination of my statements, but this issue can't be decided until the prosecutor's office has its opinion on the matter. And all has hung up," he has added.

Andrei Krasnenkov said about his intention to present some "sensational material," he had received from the Interpol regarding the fate of one of the dead militants, who had been earlier actively defended by Natalia Estemirova.
