Active search of mosque attackers in Abkhazia

According to latest data, as a result of today's shelling of the house, used by the local Muslim community as a mosque, one member of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Abkhazia was killing and two more wounded.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the local prosecutor's office that the "Interception" regime was declared in the region.

The incident happened today at about 3:00 p.m. Moscow time in the centre of Gudauta, in Makhadzhirov Street. The unidentified persons drove up to the mosque in a dark-green Volkswagen Touareg car and opened fire from various weapons at the members of the Muslim community standing there, about 8 persons in total. As a result, Arsaul Ivanovich Piliya, 34, was fatally wounded, two others - Rustam and Raul Gitsba were wounded and brought to the district hospital.

One of the wounded persons tried to chase the car and opened a response fire. The attackers continued shooting and disappeared.
