Georgia to open four refugee centres

Today, the Georgian city of Gori will open four restored collective residence centres for 24 refugee families.

The city municipality has reported that the works to rebuild the centres were initiated by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and performed through the implementing partner - the World Vision International. The project worth 400,000 euros was mostly funded by the Romanian government and the World Vision International.

The "Georgia-Online" explains that repairs included replacing of the roofing, windows and doors, and fixing water and electricity supplies.

On October 5, the Palace of Pupils and Students of the Gori District organized an event on the International Teachers' Day for the refugees-teachers, who live in different regions of the country. The staged "Lesson of Love to Georgia" was presented to the audience, the "News-Georgia" reports.
