Makhachkala: unidentified criminals beat militiamen and steal their pistols

In the evening on October 4, two militiamen were injured when attacked by unidentified persons in the Kirov District of Makhachkala, said a source from local law enforcement bodies.

The incident happened at 10:15 p.m. in Ordzhonikidze Street, near the "Calypso" restaurant. The militiamen tried to stop a scuffle, but its participants beat them, took away their Makarov pistols with 16 rounds and disappeared.

The militiamen received medical aid; actions are underway to find and detain the attackers, the "Interfax" reports.
