Four peacekeepers from Georgia perish in Afghanistan

Four Georgian servicemen from the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) acting under the NATO auspice perished in performing their service duties. This was reported today by the press service of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Georgia.

The MoD has issued a statement expressing condolences to casualties' families and friends. According to available information, Colonel Ramaz Gogiashvili, Sergeant David Tsetskhladze, Corporal Georgi Kolkhitashvili and Corporal Nugzar Kalandadze were killed by a mine in the course of their mission.

Quite soon their bodies will be delivered to their homeland, the "News-Georgia" reports.
