Conference on human rights
The Delegation of the European Commission in Russia is planning to hold a conference in the beginning of December connected with shooting new projects selected within the framework of the European Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR), the European Union program.
One of the main questions to be discussed at the conference will be the effectiveness of the EIDHR and other plans of exterior assistance in the context of the current human rights situation in the North-Caucasian region.
The organizers hope the conference will give room to vivid and open discussion, with representatives of the civil society, political circles and mass media taking part.
