A famous singer's brother detained in Chechnya for complicity in gunmen's activities, his relations report

In the South-West of Chechnya Said-Arbi Tsurayev, a local resident, a famous singer's brother, was detained for suspicion of involvement in armed underground's activities, according to the information from his relations who are sure of his innocence. Law enforcement bodies of the republic have produced no comment on this message, however they reported detention of two supposed gunmen who had attempted to commit an act of terror.

A leader of one of the non-governmental organizations told a reporter of "Caucasian Knot" that Tsurayev's people and neighbors described him as an extremely honest and decent man who had never had anything in common with armed underground or held arms in his hands.

A source in law enforcement agencies of Chechnya refused to comment on this statement saying he had no information on the matter. However, he informed that last Saturday, September, 25, two supposed participants of armed underground were detained in Achkhoy-Martan district of the republic for having made an attempt of an act of terror near the settlement of Davidenko.

"The detained men have acknowledged their guilt, besides, they showed the operative agents a hiding place of arms an ammunition they had arranged in the suburbs of the settlement. Investigators are currently working with the detained", a militia officer reported.
