The man who had attempted at Isa Yamadaev declared his innocence in the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation

On September, 23, Khawaji Yusupov, native of Chechnya, sentenced to eight and a half years of imprisonment for his attempt at Isa Yamadaev, brother of Ruslan Yamadaev, ex-deputy of State Duma, and Sulim Yamadaev, ex-commander of "Vostok" battalion, declared his innocence in court.

At the court session Yusupov rejected all the accusations of his attempt at Yamadaev and said all his former acknowledgements of guilt had been received under the investigators' pressure or forged. "I have never murdered or attempted at anyone. All these evidence has been forged by those who wish to embroil the Yamadaevs and the Kadyrovs", he said.

Shamsudin Tsakaev, Yusupov's attorney, appealed to the judicial board to cancel the verdict and submit the case for a new trial in connection with a great number of procedural contraventions in it.

According to "Interfax", upholding their complaint the convict's new attorneys claimed that Yusupov had formerly been deprived of defense and was spoken for by Sergey Bobryakov, court-appointed attorney.

Studying the material of the criminal case Tsakaev noticed that his client's evidences had been written with different handwritings and Yusupov's signatures had been forged. According to his information, law enforcement agents had not let Yusupov who knew very little Russian clearly understand what he was being accused of because the materials of the case had not been translated for him professionally.

Musa Khadisov, his second attorney, in his turn, emphasized a negligent in his opinion work of the operative agents of the Ministry of Interior Affairs who knowing of the expected attempt beforehand had decided to catch the killer red-handed.

Yury Yefimenkov, Isa Yamadaev's attorney, in his turn, declared that there were no reasons for revocation of the verdict. Yefimenkov explained that he was not taking part in the process and was just present in the hall as an onlooker. "My grantor has asked me to prevent the opposing counsel from misinterpreting his declarations translated by mass media about his reconciliation with Kadyrov", the attorney said.

The Supreme Court produced no estimation of the arguments pronounced. On entering the hall after a short break the chief justice just informed on refusal of Yusupov's complaint and announced the process over, "Commersant" reports.
