Ingushetia restricts sale of strong alcohol

The official website of the President of the Republic of Ingushetia reports that the local government has ordered to restrict the retail sale of alcoholic beverages.

In particular, the document prescribes not to sell, starting September 2010, alcohol drinks over 15-percent strong between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m.

The measure is viewed as enforcement of Federal Law of 22.11.1995 No. 171-FZ "On State Regulation of Production and Turnover of Ethyl Alcohol, Alcohol and Alcohol-Containing Products", protection of economic interests and better regulation of alcohol market.
