After 1998, Nagorno-Karabakh received 25 million US dollars less than Congress planned

Since 1998, the volume of the US financial help to Nagorno-Karabakh has made 36 million dollars, that is, by 25 million dollars less than it was pre-planned by the Congress. This was announced on August 24 by the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA).

Ken Khachikyan, head of the ANCA, has noted that although American Armenians are grateful to the US Congress for its financial help to Karabakh; however, they are concerned of what happens.

"This vitally important programme should be financed in full," the "News-Armenia" quotes Mr Khachikyan as saying.

The ANCA has noted that in the last two financial years Karabakh received only a quarter of what had been allocated by the US Congress.
